The Crater Health District is one of thirty-five districts in the Virginia Department of Health. It includes a geographic area of 1,800 square miles and has a population of approximately 150,000. The district includes the counties of Dinwiddie, Prince George, Surry, Sussex and Greensville and the cities of Petersburg, Hopewell and Emporia.
